Described by Bob Harris as ‘One of his absolute favourite artists’, Lowri is blessed with a voice capable of wide emotional power, her songs taking their musical colours from a broad palette that includes Americana, Folk, Country and Blues, all beautifully knitted together through her innate musicality and heartfelt delivery.

Blessed with “a voice so distinct and special that she sings as easy as one breathes” (Fish Records), Lowri has that rare ability to immediately bond with an audience, transporting them to the emotional heartland of every song she sings.

Lee Mason’s beautifully judged guitar playing and subtle harmonies have been integral to Lowri’s music from the outset. Together they have toured the USA, performed sessions for Bob Harris on BBC Radio 2, been playlisted on BBC Radio and regularly perform in venues across the UK and in festivals such as Cambridge Folk, Underneath the Stars, Celtic Connections, Wychwood Festival, Greenman Festival and Hay Festival.

Lowri released a new ‘Best of’ album in May 2017, her 7th album to celebrate 10 years since the release of her 1st album.

Lowri has opened for Seth Lakeman, Glenn Tilbrook, Martin Simpson, Cara Dillon, Steve Tilston and has co-written with Tom McRae, Henry Priestman, Sam Genders, Michele Stodart, Marry Waterson.

Lowri was invited to the Chris Difford songwriting retreat in 2018 that was also attended by songwriters such as Jim Lauderdale, Beth Nielsen Chapman, Nell Bryden and Judi Tzuke.

Lowri has worked with TRAC (Wales’s Folk Development organisation) for many years, performing in showcase projects at the Folk Alliance International and involved in exchange projects with songwriters from England, Canada and Wales. She was also involved in their Ffwrnes Gerdd project for S4C and is regularly programmed to perform at Tŷ Gwerin, the 10-day music stage at the National Eisteddfod.

Lowri has received BBC Radio 2 airplay as well as on other BBC radio shows such as BBC Radio Scotland, BBC Shropshire, BBC Merseyside and BBC Ulster, has been play listed on BBC Radio Wales and BBC Radio Cymru numerous times, performed a live session for Bob Harris on BBC Radio 2, live sessions on BBC Radio Wales for Frank Hennessy and Janice Long and received airplay on radio stations in Ireland, America and Germany. Lowri has also been commissioned to compose songs for specific BBC radio programmes.

Lowri has previously been nominated for Welsh Female Artist of the Year and came runner up in ‘Song for Wales’.

Lowri released a collaborative album with Tom McRae in May 2021 having met him on a song writing retreat organised by Kathryn Williams in 2016.
